India vs England, LIVE Streaming: Watch IND vs ENG, 2nd ODI live telecast online
The live cricket streaming of India vs England, 2nd ODI at Cuttack, is available on Hotstar, while the live telecast of the match is available on the Star Sports Network.
Following a commendable 3-wicket win in the opening game at Pune, hosts India aim to seal the series as they take on visitors England in the second of the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Thursday. The live cricket streaming of the match is available on Hotstar, while the live telecast of the match is available on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD, along with Hindi commentary on Star Sports 3 and Star Sports 3 HD. The Cuttack ODI is a do or die tie for the visitors, as they would aim to win this one and set up the decider at Kolkata on Sunday.
India, who won the opening tie on Sunday, courtesy of twin blistering innings from skipper Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav. Jadhav’s innings in particular made England scratch their heads, as they surely did not expect at least Jadhav to fire. The innings from Kohli did not come as a surprise, but apart from Jadhav’s innings, England will also be wondering over what went wrong with their bowling. England lost the opening ODI in spite of putting up an impressive show with the bat, posting their highest ODI total of 350, in India. Nevertheless, England would aim to put up an improved show with the ball as well in this tie, if they stand any chance to draw level in the series.
With the game being played at Cuttack, it would be most certainly a packed house. However, what would be interesting to see is how tight the security measures would be, as the venue had some bad memories the last time India played here. In 2015 against South Africa, there was a crowd unrest following poor performance from India in the match, which led to water bottles being thrown inside the playing field. The match came to an abrupt halt for quite a while.
Talking about the ODIs between the India and England, and Kohli being the hosts’ skipper, he will be up against a much-improved and better ODI side in England. Eoin Morgan’s side have been on an upward spiral ever since their debacle in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, held in Australia and New Zealand. Morgan’s side have demolished teams in their own den including some inspiring performance in United Arab Emirates (UAE) versus Pakistan in 2015 followed by finishing second in ICC World T20 in 2016.
On the contrary, England have played on this ground four times against the hosts. England have a 50 per cent record with two wins and equal number of losses. This makes an interesting match apart from being the second game of the three-ODI series. The match will be played under lights and dew can play its part. Batting second has bore effective results for teams but that will also be a stern test for two powerhouses in limited-overs.
