# Alastair Cook‘s brilliant unbeaten 168 is the highest individual innings by a visiting England skipper and the fourth highest by a visiting captain in India. West Indian, Clive Lloyd, with an unbeaten 242 in the 1974-75 Mumbai Test, is the only one with a double hundred as captain in a Test match in India.

# Cook (41 + 168 not out) became the first England captain to register 200 runs or more in a Test match against India in India.
