The second day’s play of India‘s tour game against Leicestershire on the tour of England has been called off due to rain. Play could not start through the day as there was persistent rainfall and not a single ball was bowled on the day. India had come into the day 333 for four with all their batsmen getting starts. Skhikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir and Cheteshwar Pujara retiring after getting to their respective half centuries.
This is a three-day fixture and with this day being lost out, India loses time to get acclimatized to the conditions. However, they have another practice game later and that will give them another chance to get things going.
India 333 for 4 (Shikhar Dhawan 60, Gautam Gambhir 54, Cheteshwar Pujara 57, Ajinkya Rahane 47*, Rohit Sharma 43*; Shiv Thakor 1 for 31) vs Leicestershire.
