Zaheer Khan found the breakthrough for India dismissing Ross Taylor for 41 to push New Zealand to six for 63 on Day Three of the first Test at Auckland on Saturday. Taylor tried to cut the ball ferociously and the ball flew to Ajinkya Rahane at third slip.
Taylor survived a rejuvenated Indian pace attack bowling at a consistent length and appearing like a changed side in comparison to their first innings bowling. Taylor has done most of the scoring while Watling has struggled to score but somehow managed to hang on. He has faced 55 balls for his 10 runs.
Even Ishant Sharma bowled according to a plan while Mohammed Shami has been right on target since the start of the innings making run-scoring difficult for the Kiwis.
