India’s hopes in the first Test hangs in balance as Zaheer Khan was caught in the slips off Neil Wagner’s bowling on Day Four of the first Test at Auckland on Sunday. India are on 349 for right needing 58 more to win.
It has been a thrilling third session which started off with the wicket of Rohit Sharma who edged Tim Southee behind the wickets for 19. However, the pressure was quickly turned back when Jadeja went after the new ball and Dhoni joined in to with some big hits and added 54 in just 34 deliveries.
Jadeja was dismissed by Trent Boult, trying to loft one over mid-on and was caught by Ish Sodhi. Zaheer departed for 17 but Dhoni continued the onslaught attacking the pacers. Ishant Sharma is batting with Dhoni.
