Kane Williamson has reached his fifty in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Napier. It has been an innings that has helped New Zealand recover after early losses.

New Zealand lost Jesse Ryder in the fourth over and that is when Williamson walked out to bat. Martin Guptill was then out in the eight as Ross Taylor joined Williamson. The duo has helped New Zealand get back on track from thereon.

Williamson has played with the typical silken touch and has essayed quite a few boundaries. The one that stood out was the one when he charged to Ravichandran Ashwin and lofted him for four over long-off. Currently New Zealand are in overs 113 for two in 25.1 overs.
