New Zealand have moved to 153 for three in 32.1 overs in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Napier. Kane Williamson has just been dismissed for 71 and Ross Taylor is on 51.

This partnership came together at the end of eight overs and have helped New Zealand come out of a spot after they lost their openers early. The run-rate has been growing steadily and they are building a platform for an assault later in the innings. If Taylor gets really set, he can smash his way around easily.

Williamson was holding the innings together and New Zealand would charge at the Indian bowling at some stage. It has been an innings that has helped New Zealand get back on track. Ravindra Jadeja dismissed him as Williamson spooned a catch to Ajinkya Rahane at cover.
