Mohammed Shami has dismissed Ross Taylor for 55 in the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and New Zealand at Napier. In 36.2 overs, New Zealand are 171 for four. Brendon McCullum is there in the centre and has already smashed a few boundaries to signal his intentions.

Taylor and Kane Williamson had rescued New Zealand from the early problems. Williamson fell for 71 as he spooned a catch to cover off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja. On the other hand, Taylor chased a wide one from Shami and the edge was taken by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

With the batting powerplay on, New Zealand would be looking to press the advantage.
