Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were watchful against New Zealand in the chase of 297 in the second One-Day International at Hamilton.

Kyle Mills and Mitchell McClenaghan opened the bowling for New Zealand. The pair bowled consecutive maiden overs to tie down the openers. Rohit survived in the sixth over when Kane Williamson dropped him at point.  The pacers took the pace of the ball making the batsmen difficult to hit.

India are chasing a revised target of 297 by Duckworth-Lewis method after rain interrupted play during the New Zealand innings after 33.2 overs.

New Zealand’s innings was set up by half-centuries from Kane Williamson and oss Taylor. But the boost towards the end was provided by Corey Anderson who slammed a 17-ball 44.
