The commentary box is indeed a very good place for the analyst to voice their opinion and entertain the fans and follower with some insights. Many former cricketers are often seen building camaraderie and having fun at the commentator’s box and something similar happened when India were locking horns with New Zealand in the third One-Day International (ODI) at Mohali on Sunday. The five-match series was equally leveled between both the teams by 1-1 and this was a crucial encounter keeping the series in mind. India once again won the toss and elected to bowl first. They got off to a decent start but once again their middle-order floundered. FULL Cricket Scorecard, India vs New Zealand, 3rd ODI at Mohali

Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav is well-known for his batting and part -time wicket keeping skills but he can bowl too. He picked wickets in both the games and was acknowledged as the man with a golden arm. In the third ODI, Jadhav was brought into attack, and former New Zealand cricketer and a commentator Scott Styris delivered a strong statement hilariously saying, “I will walk out of the commentary box, and take the first flight to New Zealand if Jadhav takes a wicket today.”

The first over was silent, but Jadhav somehow managed to scalp the key wicket of New Zealand skipper Kane WIlliamson on the final delivery of his second over. This was the key moment in the match as Williamson was trapped leg before and the moment umpire gave it out, Styris stood by his words, as he dropped the mic and funnily walked out of the commentator box while Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri couldn’t resist laughing.

Things didn’t end here, a fan on Twitter asked Styris about what he was doing at the moment. Styris showed his sense of humour by replying ‘hiding’. Jadhav finished the game on a high with three scalps to his name for 29 as India won the game by seven wickets.
