Ross Taylor has kept New Zealand on the front foot in the chase of 279 with a brilliant hundred at home against India in the fourth One-Day International (ODI). After the 130-run partnership with Kane Williamson, Taylor single-handedly attacked the bowlers to soothe the nerves in the run chase. This is Taylor’s ninth ODI ton.

Taylor has guided the Kiwi chase with a matured innings. He was watchful at the start against the spinners and then eased in with a few strokes in the middle overs.

Just when New Zealand were strolling towards the target, Williamson called Taylor for a quick single. Ravindra Jadeja picked the ball off his own bowling hit the bulls-eye to send back Williamson for 60. After his dismissal, Taylor led the chase scoring briskly.

Brendon McCullum is batting along with Taylor. After the initial nervousness even, McCullum started to free his arms.
