Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are once again stitching a partnership to help New Zealand recover after the dismissals of the openers in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) at Wellington on Friday.

Taylor and Williamson are looking comfortable dealing with Ravichandran Ashwin‘s spin and have completed their fifty partnership in 50 balls. This is the second fifty plus partnership between the two and on two previous occasions they have stitched a century stand.

Williamson in particular continued his tactic of using his feet to counter the spinners. He even got two boundaries lofting over the infield. On the other end, Taylor too has played some sparkling shots. He was in trouble when Varun Aaron almost had him leg-before but a faint edge saved him.

The Indian pacers were impressive at the start but they will have to do a lot more to break this solid partnership between Taylor  and Williamson.
