Virender Sehwag tries to bring more fun in Test cricket through commentary and succeeds handsomely. His witty one-liners and comments on the situation of the game amuse fans as they switch to Twitter to express their gratitude towards the king of tweets and one-liners. His tweets have been making rounds on the internet and his commentary in ICC T20 World Cup 2016 and T20 Asia Cup 2016 were a delight to watch. This time around he takes it to another level by comparing top-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara to a priest. Pujara has been holding on to one end as three of India’s wickets in the first session of the second Test at Eden Gardens.
India is in trouble after three batsmen walked back to the pavilion cheaply leaving the host team high and dry. For the record, this is not the first time Sehwag has done something like this. Sehwag along with former Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar shared a fantastic combination on-air when the duo worked as a part of the commentary team. Both of them indulged in friendly banters and their fans often enjoyed their chemistry, as the duo converted their fierce on-field battle while they represented their country into friendship. Sehwag often used to tease Akhtar with the fact that Pakistan didn’t have a good record in ICC events against India.

Ads are breaking dwn the flow of humour.. A joy-filled commentary right in the com box by @virendersehwag — Koushik_27 (@koushikpspk) September 30, 2016
Happiness is @VirenderSehwag is on commentary. No matter on or off the field…. He makes TEST cricket all more special. #INDvsNZ
Sehwag had a hilarious comment for Ashish Nehra too when he helped India win against Bangladesh by one run in ICC T20 World Cup 2016. After the match he said, Boss ki wife ko, haathi ke size ko aur Nehraji ki wife ko desh ka salaam” which meant that the whole nation hails Nehra’s advice in the final over which eventually led to India’s win in the game.
