India vs Pakistan: PCB officials check security arrangements at Chennai stadium

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials on Tuesday met Chennai Police Comissioner to discuss the security measures ahead of the first One-Day International between India and Pakistan at MA Chaidambaram stadium.

Pakistan are set to tour India later in the month to play three ODIs and two T20s.

“We met police officials in Chennai to discuss the security aspects and were satisfied with the preparations. They know their job well as they have handled several big events,” Nadeem Sarwar, PCB’s media manager was quoted as saying by Times of India.

Officials in the meeting included Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) game development general manager RS Shetty, manager cricket operations Suru Nayak, Pakistan’s Punjab police chief Sohail Khan, Pakistan security director Ehsan Sadiq, PCB cricket operations manager Usman Wahla and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) secretary Kasi Viswanathan.
