So, an important victory for India, albeit with a scare. Now, India has to maintain the momentum as they are all but assured of a spot in the quarter-finals.

Sarfaraz has finished the job for India. He charges to the spinner and has sealed the deal by five wickets. That would be a big relief.
Hooda charges to Gossain and lofts him twice for four. Now, they are over 60 and are looking comfortable.
Sarfaraz is getting a few runs as he pushes Mark Watt for a few runs through the off-side. Ten runs off this over.
Another one goes. Bhiu spoons a catch to mid-wicket off the first ball. All eyes on Sarfaraz.

Sanju Samson is gone. Main raps him on the pads and is given out.
OUT! Samson 7(17)

India are now cautious after the two early wickets. Samson also couldn’t capitalise on a free-hit that had come his way.

OUT! Zol 4(8)
Herwadkar is out as he tries to cut Gossain, the left-arm spinner and edges it to the wicket-keeper. Scotland are over the moon.

Kuldeep Yadav has become the first Indian to take a hat-trick in an under-19 World Cup. Baum was dismisses as the ball went through the gate and bowled him. Great achievement!
OUT! Baum 5(5)
Umeed first pulls one through mid-wicket for a four. But that doesn’t deter Kuldeep Yadav as he gets Farrar to sweep one and is caught at square leg. It was a top edge and a comfortable catch to the square-leg fielder. Stirling is the new batsman and he pads one first up and is given out leg before
OUT! Farrar 0(4) Stirling 0(1)
Zander Muir has been dismissed by Aamir Gani. He has been bowled for seven.
OUT! Muir 7(23)
Scotland survive a run-out shout as there is a direct hit. But, the frames aren’t quite conclusive and he has to be given not-out.
Umeed 21*, Muir 2*
India have plugged the flow of runs very well after striking early. They are now shuffling their bowlers as Kuldeep Yadav comes in.
Second wicket for India here. Avesh Khan has dismissed English.
OUT! M English 1 (5)

Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2014 Group A match between India and Scotland. The match is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. India are coming off a convincing win over arch-rivals Pakistan in their first game. On the other hand, Scotland also recorded a good win in their first game against Papua New Guinea. India are clearly the stronger side, but will guard against complacency as they have to put in good performances throughout the tournament if they have to emulate the previous batch.

I am Nishad Pai Vaidya and will take you through this game.
