South African pacers Alviro Petersen and Graeme Smith were off to a brisk start in reply to India’s 334 on Day Two of second Test at Durban on Friday. The pacers strayed down the leg-side giving away easy runs at the start. South Africa were 43 for no loss after 11 overs.
After a few overs, the pacers managed to steady their line and tested the batsmen with a few deliveries pitched in the corridor of uncertainty. Ishant Sharma looked the most effective among all as he kept Petersen in check by going past his edge on a few occasions.
India were bundled out for 334 after a six-for by Dale Steyn.
