AB de Villiers and Jacques Kallis completed a fifty-run unbeaten stand on Day Three of the second Test against India at Durban on Saturday. Kallis, playing in his final Test looked solid along with de Villiers. South Africa are on 169 for three.
South Africa were in trouble early on when they los three quick wickets of Graeme Smith (47), Hashim Amla (3) and Alviro Petersen (62). Ravindra Jadeja turned out to be the key bowler dismissing Smith and Petersen. Kallis was given a guard of honour when he walked to bat after the dismissal of Amla.
South Africa resumed the day on 82 for no loss. They scored briskly at the start until Jadeja and other bowlers tightened the screws. De Villiers and Kallis then put their head down and played with caution before going for their strokes once they settled in.
