Kusal Perera scored his third One-Day International (ODI) fifty to lead Sri Lanka’s chase of 265 in the fourth Asia Cup 2014 match against India at Fatullah on Friday. Sri Lanka are 125 for one in 25 overs.
Virat Kohli had to revert back to Mohammed Shami but it didn’t work as the two batsmen had no problems facing him. Earlier India had got the breakthrough with Ravichandran Ashwin dismissing Lahiru Thirimanne,
Perera was dropped twice while on seven and 38. In the first instance a collision between Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan helped him whereas on the other occasion he was caught by Ravindra Jadeja but the ball popped out of his hands as he fell to the ground.
