India take on the West Indies in a two-match Test series that begins on November 6 in Kolkata at the Eden Gardens. The entire cricketing fraternity will be following this series with a huge amount of interest as Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will retire from international cricket after the conclusion of this series.
The Test series will be followed by a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, after which India will head to South Africa to play a bilateral series.
Indian cricketers reached Kolkata on November 3, while the Caribbean side arrived in the city on October 28, where they also played a three-day warm-up match against Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) side.
The second and final Test match of the series will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, a wish made by Tendulkar which was granted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Both the venues for the Tests — Eden Gardens and Wankhede Stadium are busy preparing for a grand farewell to the Little Master.
