India scored 358 at the loss of five wickets and gained a lead of 162 runs at the end of Day 2 of the second Test against West Indies at Sabina Park on Sunday. Ajinkya Rahane (42) and Wriddhiman Saha (17) were at the crease. Having begun the day on 126/1, India extended their advantage with KL Rahul‘s career-best test score of 158 and useful contributions from Virat Kohli (44) and Cheteshwar Pujara (46). Rahul and Pujara started off cautiously adding to their overnight score of 126/1 slowly. The only bright spark for the home side in the opening few hours was pacer Shannon Gabriel who time and again beat Rahul outside the off stump. He managed two draw two edges also but both fell short of the close in fielders. But once Gabriel ran out of steam, Rahul pounced on anything loose and the rival bowlers helped him by hurling short ones. Visitors India stayed on top, as they finished the day by staying in a commanding position, and attaining a healthy 162-run lead over the hosts West Indies, on Day 2 of the second of the four-match Test series at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday. The day mostly belonged to the Indian batsmen, especially KL Rahul, who, while they lost four in the day, and five in total. The West Indies bowlers indeed had a tough day on the field, but put up an average performance, and managed to claim a few wickets in the post-tea session to easy the pressure.
