Resuming at overnight score of 358-5, Rahane (unbeaten 74), along with Wriddhiman Saha (47), went on to steer the side’s innings as the duo shared a modest 98-run stand for sixth wicket to propel visitors to 425-6. Earlier, KL Rahul struck a blistering 158-run knock besides sharing a huge 121-run stand with Cheteshwar Pujara (46) to put India in a driver’s seat. Skipper Virat Kohli’s 44 was other notable contribution for the visitors. Meanwhile, West Indies were bundled out for mere 196 in their first innings as India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finished with an innings haul of five for 52. Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami also clinched two wickets apiece while Amit Mishra chipped in with a wicket.
