New Delhi: The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) on Thursday awarded the title sponsorship rights to Paytm for the upcoming two T20 International (T20I) matches between India and West Indies to be played in Florida, USA. While announcing the decision, BCCI President Anurag Thakur said: “We are delighted to extend our association with Paytm. This will further strengthen partnership with our existing partner and is a testimony to the fact that our partners believe in BCCI’s initiative of reaching out to newer audiences and markets.” BCCI Secretary Ajay Shirke added: “We have always respected our relationship with existing partners. This announcement of Paytm coming on-board reflects the strong bond we share with our partners. India are going into the T20I series after winning the four-match Test series against West Indies 2-0. Ravichandran Ashwin was adjudged the man of the series for his brilliant all-round show. India will see a change in leadership for the shortest format as MS Dhoni will takeover as captain. He along with fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have arrived in the United States and are all set to take field for India during the weekend. This is the first time India will be playing an international match in the US. West Indies on the other hand have played a couple of matches at Lauderhill and have won on both occasions. The world champions will be looking to maintain a 100 per cent record at the venue.
