The Third Times of India Sports Award 2018 honoured the best of sporting personalities from India last evening. It celebrated the best of Indian sports across disciplines over the year gone by. Cricket, too, featured in the list. Team India was named (popular) Team of the Year, while India Women were honoured with Inspiration of the Year award. India Women had reached the final of the Women’s World Cup apart from winning quadrangular and bilateral series’ across the year. T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur was awarded with Female Cricketer of the Year award, while Jasprit Bumrah was named Male Cricketer of the Year. Former coach Anil Kumble was announced Coach of the Year, while Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Prithvi Shaw was named Emerging Player of the Year (popular choice).

Across sports, Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu took top spots, winning the male and female Sportsperson of the Year awards respectively.
