Indian bowlers restrict New Zealand XI to 262/9 in warm-up game at Whangarei

New Zealand XI declared their innings at 262 for nine against India in a warm-up game played at Whangarei. Roald Badenhorst and Ian McPeake showed resistance towards the end of the day’s play. Robert O’Donnell played well for his knock of 80. Ishwar Pandey bowled well for India.
Earlier, New Zealand XI reached 102 for the loss of two wickets at lunch with O’Donnell (52) and Jonno Hickey (4) unbeaten crease. O’Donnell fifty came off 89 balls, smashing eight fours and four sixes.
The hosts lost only two wickets in the first session. George Worker was caught leg before by Ravichandran Ashwin, while Anton Devich was dismissed by Zaheer Khan.
