Jos Buttler has slammed a fifty off only 18 balls for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Delhi Daredevils in Match 32 of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. This is the fastest fifty for RR in IPL history: Buttler went past Owais Shah’s record of 19 balls, which was achieved back in 2012. Buttler had slammed 3 fours and 6 sixes by the time he reached his fifty. This is also the third-fastest fifty of the ongoing season, after KL Rahul (15) and Sunil Narine (17). Other batsmen in the list of fastest fifty for RR are Yusuf Pathan (21 balls, twice, and 23), Shane Watson (22), Deepak Hooda (22).

In this season Buttler has scored 187 runs at a strike rate of 156. He eventually departed for a 26-ball 67. He added 82 runs with D’Arcy Short for the first wicket to kickstart RR’s chase of 151 runs in 12 overs after rain interrupted play for the second time. DD batting first were helped to 196 for 6 after fifties from Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant.
