Rajasthan Royals(RR) recorded the highest total of 217 in Vivo IPL 2018 against Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB). Ajinkya Rahane started things well for RR scoring 36 off 20, D’Arcy Short failed to deliver again and Stokes was bowled after getting to a good start. It was all Sanju Samson’s game after that he smashed 10 sixes in his innings of 92* off 45. RCB managed to pick up four wickets as Yuzvendra Chahal became the highest wicket-taker(73) for RCB going past the tally of Vinay Kumar’s 72  wickets.

RCB gave a tough fight chasing the mammoth total. Virat Kohli broke numerous records  in his innings of 57 off 30. It was Shreyas Gopal for RR who dismissed Kohli and dangerous looking AB de Villiers  in successive overs. Short and Stokes may have failed with the bat but they both took one wicket each and Stokes even took a brilliant catch to dismiss Brendon McCullum in the first over. Mandeep Singh(47*) and Washington Sundar(35) tried their best in the end overs but failed as RR won by 19 runs.
