Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fast bowler Billy Stanlake has been ruled out of the remainder of 11th edition of Indian Premier League.  Stanlake sustained a displaced fracture on his Right hand 5th finger whilst fielding and surgical reduction and fixation was required to restore function to that finger

Indian and Australian orthopaedic specialists have advised that Stanlake should not play the remaining part of IPL 2018 owing to an injury that he sustained in the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played at Hyderabad on 22nd April 2018.

Stanlake has so far played four matches for SRH picking up five wickets at an economy of 8.12. He hit the winning running in the last match against Mumbai Indians in a thriller run-chase. He has flown back to his country for further treatment.

This IPL season has seen many players being ruled out for various reasons. Shikhar Dhawan also suffered injury during SRH’s match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) but he has recovered after missing one match against CSK.
