The glitzy, glamorous and high octane Indian T20 League is all set to touch upon us and for months now, the social media is a busy place. The first match of the tournament will see defending champions Mumbai take on Chennai at Wankhede Stadium. Harbhajan Singh, who has played for Mumbai for 10 seasons, will be on the arch-rival camp — Chennai. Twitter released a data, which revealed that Harbhajan’s switch to the yellow brigade from blue and gold was the most talked-about move on the micro-blogging site.

Second in the list is Gautam Gambhir’s move from Kolkata to his home, Delhi. Gambhir captained Kolkata for seven seasons after playing the first three for Delhi. Gambhir’s return surprised many as he won Kolkata two titles. However, Delhiites welcomed the move.

Third in the list is India’s premier Test spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin will no longer play for Chennai and was bought by Punjab for a whopping INR 7.6 crore. He will not only lead their bowling attack but also captain them.

India’s premier Test off-spinner, R Ashwin will no longer turn out for CSK as he was bought by Kings XI Punjab. Ashwin will captain Punjab this season, and the franchise will hope he turns their fortunes around as well.

At number four is Yuvraj Singh’s return to Punjab. It was with them he started his franchise cricket journey, leading the side in 2008 and 2009 editions. He was with Hyderabad in the previous edition. The fifth most talked-about buy is Dinesh Karthik, the man who will be replacing Gambhir as Kolkata’s captain. Karthik won India the Nidahas Trophy 2018 final last month and fans are eager to see him in purple and gold.

The other transfers that gained attention of fans on social media were — Chris Gayle (Bangalore to Punjab), Brendon McCullum (Gujarat to Bangalore), Mustafizur Rahman (Hyderabad o Mumbai), Umesh Yadav (Kolkata to Bangalore) and Glenn Maxwell (Punjab to Delhi).
