Pune Warriors India (PWI) have reached a score of 146 runs, owing to a fight back by Manish Pandey and Robin Uthappa’s against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the 31st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012.
Earlier, after winning the toss, PWI, who opted to bat first lost two early wickets. Opener Jesse Ryder departed in the first over of the match as Irfan Pathan castled his stumps.
Ryder’s opening partner and Man-of-the-Match in previous match, Sourav Ganguly too didn’t survive long as he was dismissed for just 1 run by Morne Morkel.
But Pandey, Uthappa consolidated Pune’s innings later. Pandey, whose spot in the side was previously questioned by critics scored a half-century.
Uthappa, played a second fiddle to Pandey, as the latter played the aggressive role against the Delhi bowlers.
Brief Score: Pune Warriors India 146 for 2 in 20 overs (Manish Pandey 80, Robin Uthappa 60; Irfan Pathan 1 for 23) vs Delhi Daredevils
