Luke Wright bowled the 20th over. He was the star with the bat. The first couple of deliveries resulted in couple of singles. The third was hit over long-off for a six by Miller. Two runs came off the fourth ball. And the fifth ball was a six. What a finish. Incredible heist.
Miller hit Dinda for two boundaries off first two deliveries. Then he conceded three singles. And a two off the last ball. Sharma was sloppy at the third-man. Punjab need 16 off the final over.
Mandeep just looked to do too many things.Bhuvneshwar bowled great lengths. The yorker length didn’t go for runs. Only eight runs conceded. Two overs and 29 to get.
Dinda has given just eight runs. Punjab couldn’t get the big hits. Dinda is bowling a very good length. Punjab need 37 off three overs.
Miller keeps Punjab in the chase. A much needed six comes over extra-cover. Luke Wright is conceding runs. Miller gets to his fifty off 29 deliveries. Very important innings. What a different Miller’s selection has made. Punjab need 45 off four overs.
Only eight runs conceded off Bhuvneshwar’s over. Mandeep hit the fifth ball over mid-wicket for a four. Punjab need 57 off five overs.
Mandeep becomes first Punjab batsman to get to a fifty. Punjab are showing urgency at Mohali. Miller pulled Sharma through mid-wicket. Tend runs come off Sharma’s third over. Punjab need 65 off six overs.

Mandeep plays a ramp shot past short fine-leg for a boundary. The next delivery was in the blockhole which was fielded by short third-man. Sharma had a shy at the stumps and an overthrow was conceded. Dinda wasn’t amused one bit. Nine off that over.
Mendis has been hit for a six over long-on and then a short ball was dispatched behind point. Excellent hitting from Miller. Punjab might sneak the game if MIller bats till the 20th over.
Luke Wright the star with the bat comes on to bowl. Miller hit him for a cover drive which went for a boundary. Miller was almost run out. He touched and ran. Wright failed to hit the stumps.

Yuvraj is bowling slow. Miller has taken on Yuvraj. A six over long-on gives Punjab hope. Miller is looking good. Elevan runs came off Yuvraj’s second over.
Sharma gives away seven runs. Mandeep is looking comfortable. He has to guide Punjab from here. With David Hussey yet to come, Punjab will be looking to save wickets.
Mendis concedes only six off his comeback over. Pune looking for wickets. Punjab looking to ensure Pune do not run away with this.

Vohra starts the over with a wristy flick for a boundary. Mandeep-Vohra now have added 33 off 29. Punjab are making a move towards the target.

Punjab are deciphering the Ajantha Mendis code. Mandeep has scored couple of boundaries off Mendis. A late cut past slip and the hit past square leg gets Punjab’s score an impetus.
Mandeep has got a move on. Three twos in that over and an exquisite cover drive gets him boundary. Elevan runs off Bhuvneshwar’s second over.
Ajantha Mendis gets a wicket off his first ball for Pune Warriors India. Mahmood played down the wrong line and that brought about his downfall. A couple of streaky shots gets Punjab a three and a boundary past first slip.
Bhuvneshwar drops the second ball short and Adam Gilchrist hits him over square leg. Gilchrist then falls going for a impetuous shot outside off stump. What a horrendous IPL it has been for Gilchrist. This is a match Gilchrist would like to forget. He dropped Finch when he was batting on one.

Finch falls just at the right time as far as Punjab are concerned. Finch tried to cut Gony for a six but sweeper cover catches it. Just four off Gony’s over.
Finch is taking on Punjab’s bowling. He smashed Praveen Kumar over covers after giving himself some room. How costly is the drop from Adam Gilchrist going to be? Finch was on one. Eight runs came off the 15th over.
Yuvraj smashes Chawla behind square leg for a six. The googly was spotted early by Yuvraj. Another googly off the fianl ball of the over was hit past point. Yuvraj is making merry.
Finch, the Pune captain scores a half-century on his captaincy debut. He gets to the milestone with a six over mid-wicket. Gony over compensated by bowling the next delivery short which was hit to square leg for a boundary. Pune are attacking.

Gony has erred in his length off the fifth ball. A short ball which Finch nonchalantly cuts for a boundary. Punjab are bowling well but one-two loose balls are spoiling the party. Seven off that over.
Spin introduced at Mohali. Chawla bowls a quiet over. A four run over pegs back things for Punjab but they need wickets. Pune openers have set a solid base.
Manpreet Gony is bowling back of the length deliveries. Punjab miss Finch’s run out. Uthappa smashes Gony for a straight boundary to give impetus to the falling run rate.
Kumar concedes only a solitary run in the over. Punjab peg back things just a little bit. Pune get 48 off the Powerplay overs. Punjab need wickets quickly.
Awana conceded 10 runs in this over. Pune are taking their chances and it is paying off. Uthappa dances down the track off the final delivery and the ball flew off the edge towards third-man.
Mahmood bowled a poor delivery to Finch — a short delivery and not too much of pace. Finch helped himself to yet another four. How much is the dropped catch going to cost Punjab?
Parvinder Awana comes onto bowl the third over. He is generating a lot of pace. But the final delivery was a succor ball for Finch. A short arm jab gets him a four.

Adam Gilchrist has dropped a sitter. It was exactly the kind of catch which he dropped at Adelaide in 2008 and he retired. Aaron Finch got a life. Azhar Mahmood is getting lot of lateral movement. The fourth and the fifth balls were pitched up. And Finch hit them for a six over long-on and a four over mid-off.
Robin Uthappa opens with Pune’s latest captain Aaron Finch. Praveen Kumar is the opening bowler for Punjab. The fifth ball was initially strayed on the leg side. It was called wide. The legitimate delivery was wide outside off stump which Uthappa hit over the in-field. Pune off to a good start.

The Kings have lost their previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad they have played so far and would be desperate to get two points of the tournament. Pune too had a shocking defeat at home when Amit Mishra ran through them and picked up the hat-trick.
