Virat Kohli throws the ball to Chris Gayle to finish things off on a day that has well and truly belonged to the big West Indian. It takes him three deliveries to break into his trademark dance move after he gets the wicket of Ali Murtaza. The Gangnam style continued as he bowled a quick yorker to get the second wicket in the over. Ishwar Pandey, who was dispatched by Gayle early on in the first innings is gone off the second deliveries. The match began with Gayle and has ended with Gayle with Gayle all over the middle as well. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have registered a massive 130 runs victory over Pune Warriors India.
PWI 128/7 | Overs 19 | Mithun Manhas 10* OUT! Bhuvneshwar Kumar 6 (12)
Rampaul finishes his spell after conceding just 21 and picking up two wickets. The required run rate has gone past 50! RCB are inches away from a massive massive victory!
Vinay Kumar is finally rewarded for his impeccable line and length as he cleans up Mitchell Marsh who was looking for a big heave over long on. This has to be the best allround performance by any team in six years of the Indian Premier League.
PWI 111/5 | Overs 16 | Mitchell Marsh 25*, Mithun Manhas 9*
Mithun Manhas plays a lovely shot through covers to score his first boundary as Pune’s total reached 119/5 off 16 overs. Pune go into the strategic time out needing 145 off 24 deliveries at an asking rate of 36.25. If only they had Gayle!

Ravi Rampaul breaks the partnership as Steve Smith holes one out to the deep midwicket fielder after making 41 off 31 deliveries. Rampaul concedes just 1 run off the over.
PWI 100/4 | Overs 13 | Steven Smith 40*, Mitchell Marsh 15*

PWI 93/4 | Overs 12 | Steven Smith 36*, Mitchell Marsh 13*

PWI 61/4 | Overs 8 | Steven Smith 13*, Mitchell Marsh 6*
Smith and Marsh get a move on as they dispatch Jaidev Unadkat for 15 runs.
Bangalore have been exceptional on the field so far. Gayle’s onslaught has inspired the side to do well. Just three runs come from the last over of powerplay.
Pune are in trouble! Luke Wright and Yuvraj Singh dismissed in the same over. Jaidev Unadkat bowls well to not give the two batsmen enough room. They were in desperate need of some runs and perished in the process.
A well-timed jump by Murali Karthik at mid off helps him take a lovely catch to send the Pune captain back to the hut. Luke Wright makes room and hits a six over long off to end the over.
Aaron Finch gets a move on as rain threatens to return at the M Chinaswamy stadium. Before the start of the over, Finch was seen checking for par scores after a certain point if rain came down. He scores two boundaries but RP Singh does well to keep him down for the rest of the over.
PWI 19/1 | Overs 3 | Aaron Finch 10*, Yuvraj Singh 9*

Yuvraj Singh and Aaron Finch start slowly as they look to overcome a mammoth total of 263. After taking a good catch, RP Singh concedes just 2 runs in his over.

Uthappa tries to play a reverse sweep over the short fine leg fielder but RP Singh covers enough ground to take a good diving catch. Yuvraj Singh joins skipper Aaron Finch in the middle as Pune score 9 runs off the first over.
Gayle welcomes Dinda in the final over with the 17th six of his innings over deep cover. But Dinda gets rid of Saurabh Tiwary and Ravi Rampaul and concedes just 10 runs of the over. RCB 168/1 | Overs 14 | Gayle 127* OUT! Dilshan 33 (36)
Dilshan perishes but not before he and Gayle break the record for the highest partnership in the IPL. The previous best of 162 was held by Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Smith. Dilshan fails to clear the cover fielder to give some breathing space for the Pune side. However, they still need to deal with Gayle.
Gayle hits another one! He finishes Mitchell Marsh’s over with a maximum over deep square leg. 10 runs off the over.
RCB 151/0 | Overs 12 | Dishan 30* , Gayle 115*

RCB 128/0 | Overs 10 | Dishan 19* , Gayle 105*

Gayle does it! Its an IPL hundred for Gayle, the fastest in the history of the tournament and he does it with a six out of the ground! It has taken him 30 deliveries, seven less than the previous fastest by Yusuf Pathan. It also happens to be the fastest hundred in the T20 format of the game! He goes on his knees to acknowledge a stadium that’s going as ballistic as the man himself. Bangalore are on 124 for no loss off just 9 overs as the strategic time out is taken!
