Vinay Kumar was Bangalore’s hero in the final over with the bat, but with the ball he couldn’t defend six runs. The final over was dramatic. Hodge and Owais Shah fell off consecutive deliveries. Binny hit the penultimate ball off the innings for a boundary and Royals recorded a five-wicket win with one ball to spare.

Sanju Samson has played a ramp shot past AB de Villiers. The slower ball from Unadkat off the second ball was hit inside-out. The teenager is turning the things on. Rajasthan need 57 off six overs.

Sanju Samson brings his maiden IPL fifty hitting RP Singh for a four over covers. Dravid’s decision to send him at No 3 has proved perfect so far. Will the young ‘keeper take Royals home? Watson hits SIngh for a four off the final delivery. Rajasthan now need 67 off seven overs.

Virat Kohli drops Rahul Dravid at the second slip on the first ball of the innings. Ravi Rampaul is getting good bounce and a bit of pace. The second ball was hit over the top of slips for a four. The last ball was steered away behind point for the second four in the over.
Gayle’s blitz of 16-ball 34 gave Bangalore a rolicking start but Rajasthan pegged back things by taking the pace of the ball. Virat Kohli failed to get his timing right. The late order surge from Vinay Kumar gave Bangalore the much needed impetus. They finished their innings at 171/6. Join Rajasthan’s run-chase in 10 minutes.

Sreesanth concedes 14 off his final over. Sreesanth lost the plot just a little in his final over. He overstepped and then bowled a benign slower ball which Henriques hit past long-off.

The purple cap holder, James Faulkner bowled to the Orange Cap holder, Chris Gayle. The West Indian slammed Faulkner to mid-wicket for a boundary and then played an agricultural shot to get three runs.

Chris Gayle shows his sublime touch to Ajit Chandila. First shot was a streaky hit that went throught backward point. The second ball was a straight drive. The third boundary was a sweep shot. Gayle fell down and had a laugh about it.

Abhinav Mukund comes in for his first game of IPL 2013, left-arm spinner Murali Kartik, and Moises Henriques are in the playing XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Tillakaratne Dilshan has been dropped.
Owais Shah is in for Rajasthan for Kevon Cooper. S Sreesanth comes in place of Sachin Baby and Sanju Samson is in for Dishant Yagnik.
