Shane Watson continued his good form with the bat as he thrashed 13 boundaries and four sixes to race to 98 not out from just 53 balls. Not to forger, James Faulkner bagged a five-wicket haul to mark off an all-round show for the Rajasthan Royals, who have now moved to the third spot in the IPL 2013 points table with this eight-wicket win.

RR 146/2 | Overs 17.5 |  Binny 9*, Watson 98*

RR 124/2 | Overs 16 |  Binny 3*, Watson 84*

Watson is going all guns blazing! A six over the deep midwicket boundary and two boundaries off Perera’s last two balls puts Rajasthan on top against the Sunrisers. Watson has raced to 84 not out off just 48 balls. As many as 35 runs have been scored from the last 12 balls and the pressure is entirely on the tourists.

RR 109/2 | Overs 15 |  Binny 2*, Watson 68*

Shane Watson takes the attack to the opposition, slamming three boundaries and a six off Ishant Sharma to collect as many as 20 runs from the 15th over. Rajasthan need a further 36 runs to win from 30 balls.

RR 89/2 | Overs 14 |  Binny 1*, Watson 49*

Rajasthan Royals will be desperate for few big overs while the Sunrisers will aim to make further inroads. Rajasthan get another seven runs from the 14th over but they need few big overs as the required run rate is moving up.

RR 82/2 | Overs 13 |  Binny 1*, Watson 42* OUT! Dravid 36(35)

Rahul Dravid is caught at the deep midwicket boundary as Thisara Perera ends a 74-run stand for the second wicket between Watson and Dravid. Dravid scored 36 from 35 balls, studded with four boundaries and a six. Stuart Binny walks in.

RR 78/1 | Overs 12 |  Dravid 35*, Watson 40*

Rahul Dravid and Shane Watson add another eight runs to the total as Rajasthan have shifted the mometum towards their side.

RR 70/1 | Overs 11 |  Dravid 28*, Watson 39*

Rahul Dravid and Shane Watson clobber a six each off Amit Mishra to take Rajasthan to 70 after 11 overs. Rajasthan need a further 75 runs in 54 balls.

RR 53/1 | Overs 10 |  Dravid 20*, Watson 30*

Shane Watson slams a boundary towards the deep square leg region to take the Royals past the 50-run mark in the 10th over of their chase. Rajasthan need a few big overs.

RR 45/1 | Overs 9 |  Dravid 18*, Watson 24*

Sunrisers Hyderabad are not allowing Rajasthan Royals to take easy runs. Amit Mishra comes into the attack and gives away only three runs off his first over of the game. Rajasthan need a further 100 runs in 66 balls.

RR 42/1 | Overs 8 |  Dravid 17*, Watson 22*

Impressive start by Darren Sammy with the ball as only two runs come from the eighth over of the second innings.

RR 40/1 | Overs 7 |  Dravid 16*, Watson 21*

Unlucky for Thisara Perera as he gets Shane Watson to edge one, but the gap between the wicketkeeper and the first slip is so much that Sangakkara fails to reach to it and the ball races to the boundary. Two boundaries for the Royals in the over and they’re up and running.

RR 30/1 | Overs 6 |  Dravid 15*, Watson 12*

Dravid joins the party with two boundaries off Ishant Sharma’s second over of the game. Rajasthan add a further nine runs to their total and reach 30 for one after six overs.

RR 21/1 | Overs 5 |  Dravid 7*, Watson 11*

Shane Watson cuts for another boundary towards point off Dale Steyn as Rajasthan add a further seven runs to their total.

RR 13/1 | Overs 4 |  Dravid 6*, Watson 5*

Shane Watson cracks a boundary towards the point region to take the run count from the fourth over to six. Rajasthan would like to step up the scoring rate.

RR 7/1 | Overs 3 |  Dravid 6*, Watson 0*  OUT! Rahane 1(9)

And here it is! Dale Steyn looked threatening in the first over and in the second, he gets Ajinkya Rahane caught behind by wicketkeeper to jolt the Royals early in their chase. A wicket maiden for the South African speedster. Shane Watson walks in.

RR 7/0 | Overs 2 |  Dravid 6*, Rahane 1*

Rahul Dravid shrugs off a slow start with a boundary off Ishant Sharma’s last ball of the second over.

RR 1/0 | Overs 1 |  Dravid 1*, Rahane 0*

Impressive start by star pacer Dale Steyn as he gives away only one run in the first over of the second innings.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad will be fancying their chances after Darren Sammy”s rescue act and the late burst by Dale Steyn, which has helped them set a competitive target. The pitch is not tough to bat on, but it is equally supportive to the bowlers. Stay tuned for the chase…

SRH 144/9 | Overs 20 | Steyn 18*, Ishant 0*

Dale Steyn cracks two boundaries and a six off Kevon Cooper’s final over of the innings to lift the Sunrisers to a competitive total of 144 for nine.

SRH 127/9 | Overs 19 | Steyn 2*, OUT! Sammy 60(41)

Darren Sammy’s resistance comes to an end as he is trapped in front of the wickets by James Faulkner, who bagged his fifth wicket on the game.

SRH 118/8 | Overs 18 | Steyn 0*, Sammy 53*

Ajinkya Rahane takes a fine catch to send Ashish Reddy back in the hut, and Stuart Binny is finally rewarded for some good bowling. Sammy brings up his maiden IPL half-century with a boundary towards the leg side.

SRH 108/7 | Overs 17 | Ashish Reddy 11*, Sammy 46*

SRH 99/7 | Overs 16 | Ashish Reddy 3*, Sammy 45*

Darren Sammy reaches close to his maiden half-century in T20 cricket with a boundary off Stuart Binny. The Rajasthan all-rounder continues to impress with his line and length.

SRH 92/7 | Overs 15 | Ashish Reddy 2*, Sammy 40* OUT! Amit Mishra 21(28)

James Faulkner returns to provide Rajasthan Royals the much-needed breakthrough. The left-arm bowler gets rid of Amit Mishra for 21 to end a crucial 58-run stand for the seventh wicket with Darren Sammy.

SRH 87/6 | Overs 14 | Mishra 21*, Sammy 37*

Stuart Binny keeps it tight as only three runs come from the 14th over of the game. After a solid stand for the seventh wicket, the Sunrisers could go for big shots.

SRH 83/6 | Overs 13 | Mishra 19*, Sammy 35*

Siddharth Trivedi drops it short and Darren Sammy clobbers it over the deep midwicket boundary for the first six of the innings. Nine runs come from Trivedi’s third over. Sunrisers have recovered very well after the early blows.

SRH 74/6 | Overs 12 | Mishra 18*, Sammy 27*

Amit Mishra collects a boundary towards the fine leg off Shane Watson. Good over for the tourists with eight runs coming off it.

SRH 38/6 | Overs 7 | Mishra 0*, Sammy 13* OUT! Vihari 4(9)

Kevon Cooper strikes to remove Hanuma Vihari for four off the first ball of the sixth over. Sunrisers have slipped to 29 for six. A boundary by Darren Sammy and couple of extras make nine from that over.
