Chennai were totally dominant, and Sunrisers produced a spineless show both with the bat and the ball. The Super Kings will carry their winning momentum in coming games and also will draw a lot of confidence from their dominant show tonight.

Karan Sharma slams a six and a boundary off Jadeja as Sunrisers add another 12 runs to their total.

Amit Mishra is run-out on the second ball off Ravindra Jadeja, as a return shot from Karan Sharma is flicked back to the stumps. Only two runs in that over.
A difficult chance missed by Murali Vijay at the long-on boundary to dismiss Karan Sharma off Dwayne Bravo. Only five runs come in that over.
Sunrisers add another four runs to their total but they are nowhere in the competition. They need a further 120 runs to win in 36 balls.

Thisara Perera is out! The left-hander slams a six over the long-on boundary but mistimes the next ball, and Subramaniam Badrinath takes a good catch to send him back in the hut. Dwayne Bravo adds one more wicket to his tally.
Ravichandran Ashwin returns to bowl his final over in the game, and Sunrisers batsmen manage only four singles off it. A strong appeal for leg before against Karan Sharma on a ball that turned in sharply, but the umpire wasn’t interested.
Thisara Perera gets going with a boundary and a six off Chris Morris, as Sunrisers add another 12 runs to their total.
Karan Sharma gets two boundaries off R Ashwin as SRH garner 10 runs from the 10th over of the match. They need a further 149 runs to win in 60 balls.
Two wickets in the over! Mohit Sharma is hit for a six by Darren Sammy on the third ball, but on the next, the Caribbean captain is caught by Chris Morris at deep long-on. Thisara Perera walks in. But on the last ball, Parthiv Patel is caught by Murali Vijay at deep midwicket.
MS Dhoni brings in Suresh Raina in the bowling attack and he immediately gets a wicket! Hanuma Vihari dances down the track to clear long-off, but is caught near the ropes by Murali Vijay. It’s been a spineless show by the SRH batsmen till now, barring Parthiv.
Mohit Sharma gives away only three runs in his third over of the game. Sunrisers have a humongous task in their hands — need a further 172 runs in 78 balls.
A wicket and only three runs off R Ashwin’s second over in the game. Kumar Sangakkara’s poor run in IPL 2013 continues as he is out for three, caught by Mike Hussey at short fine-leg.

Fantastic effort by Dwayne Bravo on the final ball off Jason Holder, as he covers a lot of ground from the fine-leg area to grab a catch to dismiss Parthiv, but misses it. The SRH opener is leading his side’s reply as he cracked two boundaries and a six in that over.
Only five runs conceeded by Ravichandran Ashwin as SRH batsmen fail to get going.
Parthiv Patel plays a few shots in the air but gets a boundary only on the last ball off Mohit Sharma. Sunrisers need a few big overs to get the momentum.
Big wicket! Shikhar Dhawan is run-out and Sunrisers have lost their key batsmen in chase od 224. Earlier in the over, Parthiv got a boundary.
Parthiv Patel cracks a boundary on the first ball of SRH’s chase off Mohit Sharma, but fails to rotate the strike in the remainder of it.

Suresh Raina reaches 99 not out, only a run shy from what would have been his second century in this IPL. Chennai Super Kings add 20 runs from Darren Sammy’s over to set a mammoth target against the hapless Sunrisers.
Ravindra Jadeja gets two boundaries off Dale Steyn to take the Super Kings past the 200-run mark. It’s been a sensational batting effort by the two-time champs. Raina would be aiming for another century now.

Suresh Raina and Michael Hussey crack a boundary each off Perera as Chennai add another 12 runs to their total.
Vijay looks in terrific form as he smashes three consecutive sixes off Ishant Sharma. Not that the bowler was poor with his line, but Vijay picked up the length on all three occassions early and got the maximum results. It’s been a breezy start by the Super Kings.
Vijay hits two consecutive boundaries off Thisara Perera and Hussey clobbers one on the last ball to mark a good over for the Chennai Super Kings.
Chennai openers Vijay and Hussey scamper for two runs as Dale Steyn keeps it tight in his second over of the game.
Murali Vijay gets a single off Ishant Sharma’s third ball of the second over, and Michael Hussey comes on the strike to punish the lanky pacer for being wayward with two boundaries towards the off-side. CSK add 11 runs in that over.
Dale Steyn starts off on an impressive note with a maiden first up.
