RCB 15/0 | Overs 1 | Gayle 10*, Kohli 5*
Gayle gets two off the first ball after just about managing to get the bat on Steyn’s yorker. The next ball goes for a single to long-on. Steyn drifts down the leg and Kohli works it to fine leg, who was up in the circle, for four. Steyn gets it bang in the block hole and RCB get just one. 13 required off two balls. Gayle launches Steyn for six straight down the ground! 7 needed off the last ball. The last ball is just back of good length and Gayle can only work it to long-off for a single.
RCB need 21 runs off six balls to win. Dale Steyn will bowl the over. Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli will be the two openers for RCB.
SRH 20/0 | Overs 1 | Perera 2*, White 18*
Vinay Kumar bowls a no-ball first up and the batsmen take a single. White gets a single to mid-wicket off the first legitimate ball. Perera takes another single off the second ball, before White launches Kumar over long-on for six. White isn’t done and after stealing two more runs off the fourth ball, he targets the stands behind long-off. White gets two more to get the Sunrisers 20 runs. VInay Kumar has gone from hero to zero in five minutes!
SRH 130/7 | Overs 20 | Vihari 44*, Dale Steyn 3*
Ashish Reddy fails to connect with Vinay Kumar’s slow full toss and Virat Kohli takes an easy catch running in from cover. Dale Steyn manages to get three of as many balls and gives strike to Hanuma Vihari for the last two deliveries with two to get. Vinay Kumar then bowls an excellent yorker on off stump, which Vihari hits to long-off for what should have been just one. However, a poor throw results in the batsmen scampering back for two runs. With two to get off the last ball, Vinay bowls a slower one and Vihari fails to connect. Steyn is already up and running and the ‘keeper’s throw misses the stumps as the batsmen cross over and the scores are tied.
And we have the first Super Over of this year’s IPL!
SRH 124/6 | Overs 19 | Vihari 42*, Ashish Reddy 14*
Ashish Reddy and Hanuma Vihari score seven runs off Murali Kartik’s final over to leave them with seven to win off the last over. Sunrisers would have to play really badly to lose from here.
7 required off the last 6 balls.
SRH 117/6 | Overs 18 | Vihari 40*, Ashish Reddy 9*
Ashish Reddy hits the first six of the Sunrisers’ innings! It was a length delivery from Vinay Kumar; Reddy stood in his crease wnd with minimal foot movement, spanked it behing long-off. Another 14 required off 12 balls.
SRH 103/6 | Overs 17 | Vihari 34*, Ashish Reddy 1*
Amit Mishra is run out without facing a single delivery. Vihari hit the ball to deep backward point and the ball looked good to beat Vinay Kumar for four, but the Indian just about managed to stop it from touching the rope. Kumar briskly got up and threw to the ‘keeper as Sunrisers tried for a needless third and Mishra was caught miles out. Just four runs come off the over and it’s anyone’s game to call.
28 required off 18 balls.
SRH 99/5 | Overs 16 | Vihari 31*, Mishra 0*
Jaydev Unadkat picks up another huge wicket for the Royal Challengers as the big-hitting Thisara Perera holes out to Moises Henriques at deep mid-wicket, succumbing to the slower ball. Earlier, the Sri Lankan had smacked Unadkat for four straight down the ground. The second Strategic Timeout is taken with the fall of the wicket. The two captains give their respective teams a pep talk.
32 required off 24 balls.
SRH 91/4 | Overs 15 | Vihari 27*, Perera 3*
Muttiah Muralitharan finishes his four-over spell with impressive figures of one for 18. They would have been even better had it not been for four leg-byes to the fine-leg fence.
40 required off 30 balls.
SRH 82/4 | Overs 14 | Vihari 25*, Perera 1*
Jaydev Unadkat has got the big wicket — Kumar Sangakkara (16) nicks to Arun Karthik behind the sticks and the Sunrisers will be in some bother here. Earlier in the over, RCB were denied a run-out when Chris Gayle’s brilliant throw from mid-off kissed the stumps at the non-striker’s end, but Hanuma Vihari’s bat crossed the line before the bails came off.
SRH 77/3 | Overs 13 | Vihari 24*, Sangakkara 13*

SRH 69/3 | Overs 12 | Vihari 18*, Sangakkara 11*
Kumar Sangakkara welcomes his Sri Lankan teammate Tillakaratne Dilshan into the attack with a whip to the mid-wicket boundary off a short delivery. Ten runs come off the over to relieve some pressure off Hyderabad.

SRH 56/3 | Overs 10 | Vihari 15*, Sangakkara 1*
At the halfway stage, Sunrisers Hyderabad are 75 runs away from their target. Vinay Kumar bowls another neat over, conceding only fours runs. It would have been just three had deep cover not fumbled. It has been 33 balls since the last boundary.
SRH 52/3 | Overs 9 | Vihari 12*, Sangakkara 0*
Muttiah Muralitharan comes into the attack and strikes straight away! Akshath Reddy is gone for 23 after getting cramped for room trying to cut Murali’s off-spinner and ends up getting bowled. Kumar Sangakkara finally walks in at No 5 as his team cross 50.

SRH 43/2 | Overs 7 | A Reddy 21*, Vihari 8*
Murali Kartik concedes six runs off his second over as the Sunrisers continue to deal in singles. With 88 required off 13 overs, the home side would not be too concerned with their run rate.
SRH 37/2 | Overs 6 | A Reddy 18*, Vihari 6*
Moises Henriques bowls his third consecutive over and concedes six runs. His figure read two for 14 so far and he has totally justified his selection today as an all-rounder.
SRH 31/2 | Overs 5 | A Reddy 16*, Vihari 2*
Murali Kartik starts the over with a leg-side wide. When he got his line right, Reddy hammered him for a boundary that pierced the off-side field. He is looking confident.
SRH 20/2 | Overs 4 | A Reddy 10*, Vihari 0*
Henriques picks up White for his second of the night! A loose shot played by White; he wanted take advantage of the field restrictions but failed to clear Muralitharan, who was fielding at mid-off. Bangalore are on top at Uppal.
SRH 19/1 | Overs 3 | A Reddy 9*, White 5*
Unadkat starts the over poorly by straying on White’s pads, which he promptly hits for a four. Reddy’s hit just eludes the third-man fielder. An eventful over from Unadkat.
SRH 12/1 | Overs 2 | A Reddy 8*, White 0*
Debutant Moises Henriques gets the wicket of Parthiv Patel off his first delivery for RCB. A loose shot from Patel ends his vigil. Henriques strayed down the leg-side a couple of times as Reddy helped himself for a boundary off the fifth delivery.
SRH 4/0 | Overs 1 | A Reddy 2*, Parthiv 2*
Jayadev Unadkat bowls a probing line and length in his opening over. Chris Gayle drops Patel. It was not that difficult a catch for the tall Gayle who used both his hands and lept up in air, but missed.
A couple of under-pressure forties from captain Virat Kohli and Moises Henriques have taken Royal Challengers Bangalore to 130 for eight against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 7 of IPL 2013. Stay tuned for the chase!
RCB 130/8 | Overs 20 | M Kartik 2*, Unadkat 1*
Ishant Sharma gets rid of Moises Henriques (44) on the first ball of the last over. Henriques tries to clear long-off, but is foxed by the slower ball as the ball goes a long way up in the air. Two fielders converge under it, but there is no confusion as Cameron White takes a simple catch. RCB manage just five runs off as many balls, losing another wicket, and end up with a below-par 130 for eight. Ishant Sharma finishes with an impressive three for 27.
RCB 125/6 | Overs 19 | Henriques 44*, Vinay Kumar 5*
The Sunrisers drop their second sitter of the innings and it’s the dangerous Moises Henriques they have dropped. The Australian all-rounder goes for a cut, but gets the top edge that flies to third man who should have pouched an easy catch, but spills it. RCB score 11 valuable runs in the over.
RCB 114/6 | Overs 18 | Henriques 38*, Vinay Kumar 0*
Arun Karthik holes out to mid-off and gives Thisara Perera his first and only wicket off his final ball. Moises Henriques had earlier hit a sweet boundary to mid-wicket off a slower ball. The Australian desperately needs someone to stick around with him in the final two overs.
RCB 108/5 | Overs 17 | Henriques 33*, A Karthik 0*
Moises Henriques hits back-to-back boundaries off Dale Steyn’s bowling to lead RCB’s dash in the death overs. The home team score 12 runs off the first five bowls to all but cap a good over, but Steyn strikes on the last ball to dismiss Mayank Agarwal.
RCB 96/4 | Overs 16 | Henriques 24*, Agarwal 4*
Ishant Sharma drops a sitter at deep mid-wicket as Mayank Agarwal gets another life and Amit Mishra is denied a second wicket. However, Mishra leaks just two runs in the over to end up with brilliant figures of 4-0-15-1. Time for the second Strategic Timeout.
RCB 94/4 | Overs 15 | Henriques 23*, Agarwal 3*
Moises Henriques takes charge after Virat Kohli’s dismissal as RCB score nine off Thisara Perera’s third over. Henriques lifts Perera one-bounce to the long-on fence, punishing a full-length delivery, for the only boundary of the over.
RCB 85/4 | Overs 14 | Henriques 19*, Agarwal 0*
Medium-pacer Ashish Reddy comes into the attack and errs, bowling short and wide to Virat Kohli, who easily dispatches it to the deep point boundary. However, Reddy has the last laugh after getting Kohli caught-and-bowled with a brilliant catch. Kohli departs for 46.
RCB 78/3 | Overs 13 | Kohli 41*, Henriques 15*
It was only a matter of time; Virat Kohli steps out, gives himself room and lofts Ishant Sharma’s full-length delivery into the second tier of the stands behind long-off. Is that the impetus RCB were looking for?
RCB 66/3 | Overs 12 | Kohli 31*, Henriques 13*
Amit Mishra finishes his third over of the match and his figures read one for 13. The Uttar Pradesh leg-spinner is turning out to be a handy acquisition by the Sunrisers. RCB need to pick up their rate, and they need to do it now!
RCB 62/3 | Overs 11 | Kohli 29*, Henriques 11*
Ankit Sharma bowls short and flat to Virat Kohli and he is not going to let that go. The Indian vice-captain spanks it to the mid-wicket fence as RCB score seven of the over.
RCB 55/3 | Overs 10 | Kohli 24*, Henriques 9*
Moises Henriques brings up RCB’s fifty with a late cut off Amit Mishra for four to third man. The average score on this ground is 162; the way RCB are going, it seems unlikely they will reach there.
RCB 47/3 | Overs 9 | Kohli 21*, Henriques 3*
Another tidy over bowled by Thisara Perera; just four runs coming off it. RCB have now scored just seven runs in the last three overs for the loss of a wicket. They have taken the Strategic Timeout and need to regroup. Sunrisers, meanwhile, will be very pleased with themselves so far.
RCB 43/3 | Overs 8 | Kohli 20*, Henriques 1*

Hanuma Vihari is out of the attack straight away; he’s done his job of removing Gayle. Ishant Sharma comes in and bowls Tillakaratne Dilshan with a peach of a delivery. The ball pitched just back of full length and clipped the top of Dilshan’s off-stump. Double blow for RCB!
RCB 19/1 | Overs 3 | Dilshan 5*, Kohli 7*
Virat Kohli cuts Dale Steyn to the deep point boundary as RCB look to recover from Gayle’s dismissal.
RCB 13/1 | Overs 2 | Dilshan 5*, Kohli 2*

A quicker delivery foxed Gayle, who tried to cut the ball but found the edge that was snapped up by Parthiv Patel behind the sticks.
RCB 8/0 | Overs 1 | Gayle 1*, Dilshan 2*
Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan watchfully played out Dale Steyn’s opening over, scoring three runs. The over was ruined by a wide that went down the leg, beat the keeper and rolled along to the fence.
