An affidavit filed by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suggested that they took action against the unnamed ‘Individual 3’ for violating the Code of Conduct. However, according to the Justice Mukul Mudgal probe committee, N Srinivasan and co. failed to act on their knowledge.

According to a report in NDTV, the affidavit, signed by BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel, said as follows: “On 18th (November), BCCI discussed Justice Mudgal Panel report and Ranjib Biswal, representing Orissa cricket Association, who was the Manager at the time of incident, mentioned that the incident referred to by the panel took place when he was the manager of the Indian cricket team. The incident was a minor one and player was orally reprimanded and Shashank Manohar, President of BCCI at that time was satisfied with the explanation given by the player.”

Srinivasan had later said, “The honourable Supreme Court has not said anything against me. I also do not think there is any evidence against me. If there was anything against me, the (court) order would have been different.” The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 24.
