Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the seventh edition is being held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13, and it is live streamed by starsports.com.
There were many surprises on the first day of the auction with Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh (Rs 14 crore) and Dinesh Karthik (Rs 12.5 crore) being the costliest players. England’s Kevin Pietersen was the costliest foreign player who was retained by Delhi Daredevils for Rs nine crore.
The streaming of the auctions started at 10 am on Thursday, February 13, 2014 and will be available with a delay of 5 minutes.
The live stream will allow the viewers to keep track of the event with ease. The auction will be available to all consumers for free.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajit Mohan, EVP and Head, New Media, Star India, said, “It is likely that the most incisive coverage of the auction this time will be online. This shows our commitment to make IPL the biggest online sporting event in the world. And, this is just the beginning. We have far bigger plans in store for the full IPL coverage.”
