Warner started at a bid of Rs 1.5 crores, and surprisingly, the franchises hesitated to buy him. SH began bidding at 1.6 crores, following which Mumbai Indians (MI) joined in. The bidding continued till MI bid 5 crores.
Once SH raised the bar to 5.5 crores MI backed out. Once again Delhi Daredevils (DD) did not use their “Rights to Match” card. It was perhaps justified for Sehwag, but for Warner?
