Delhi Daredevils (DD) are at 103 for three after 13.1 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Rain and bad light have stopped play for the moment. Dinesh Karthik is batting on 17 and Laxmi Shukla is on 14. Quinton de Kock was the first wicket to fall for seven runs. He was dismissed by Dale Steyn. Kevin Pietersen (35) and Mayank Agarwal (25) were dismissed by Amit Mishra. Pietersen was Mishra’s 100th IPL wicket. This is Match 32 of the IPL 7 season. The match is being played at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Hyderabad captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and elected to field.
Laxmi Shukla was promoted up the order and he survived a valid shout for LBW against Mishra on his first delivery. But he shrugged that of as he clobbered a six off Mishra over wide long-on in the 11th over. Steyn was brought back into the attack in the 13th over. Karthik moved across to the off side and scooped a full delivery over fine-leg for a six. It was good improvisation from Karthik. Delhi reached their 100 in the 13th over.
Karn Sharma was to bowl the 14th over. After one delivery, play was stopped due to rain and bad light. The covers came up and were placed over the pitch and the surrounding areas.
