The extent of Ponting’s new role in the MI set-up is yet unknown, but with the way things stand currently, any help he can provide will be more than welcome. Mumbai are currently the bottom-ranked team with three losses in as many games. Ponting will join Sachin Tendulkar in a behind-the-scenes role for the Mumbai Indians.
