Virender Sehwag scored the second century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 7, and the second of his IPL career, for his side Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in their Qualifier 2 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday.
Sehwag’s innings of 122 from 58 balls propelled KXIP to a colossal score of 226 for six in their 20 overs. Sehwag hit eight sixes and 12 fours in his knock, which is also the highest score in IPL 7 so far. Catch video highlights of Virender Sehwag’s innings of 122 from 58 balls here.
Suresh Raina replied with a blitzkrieg of his own, scoring a remarkable 87 off only 25 balls to jet-stream CSK to 100 in just six overs. However, after his dismissal CSK’s chase was dismantled as they struggled to get to just another 102 runs off the remaining 14 overs. CSK ended at 202 for seven, short of KXIP’s total by 24 runs.
