IPL 2016: Man loses wife in gambling

After having lost all his money during the betting, the man put even his wife at stake and lost her.

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh): In a quite weird turn of events, a man lost his wife in a gambling game over an IPL 2016 match. The man is a resident of Govindnagar area in Kanpur. The media came to know about this incident when Ravinder Singh’s fellow gamblers started to trouble his wife Jasmeet Kaur. This forced her to take the help of the local police. The police have registered a case against all those who are involved. According to the police, after having lost all his money during the betting, the man put even his wife at stake and lost her. According to a report by ABP Live, the man is into share trading while his wife is the owner of a boutique. The man used to harass his wife and had asked her to give all her jewellery to him five years back when they had just been married. She later came to know that her husband was involved in a lot of other malpractices which including drinking liquor and gambling. Talking of another case of IPL betting, Indore Police had busted a cricket betting racket and arrested four persons for allegedly placing bets worth Rs 60 lakh on the IPL match played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions around a week back. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided an apartment in Sarafa area here last night and caught Pankaj Patidar, Dharmendra Solanki, Vikas Patidar and Sourabh Khandelwal for allegedly betting on the match.
