Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) returned to winning ways in VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, beating Royals Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 6 wickets. Chasing a target of 175, it was Chris Lynn’s who kept things under control for the Dinesh Karthik-led side. He scored an unbeaten 62 to help KKR win their fourth match of the season.

Awarded Man of the Match, Lynn said that IPL is all about having fun when asked about his moustache. He said: “Got to keep the moustache now. Was going to get rid of it yesterday. Now we’ve got to get it trending in Kolkata. It’s all about having fun here in the IPL.”

It was an unlike Lynn knock, where he was more orthodox than being brutal. He said: “ Sort of been that type of season for me. Hasn’t been freeflowing. Not easy on those kind of wickets. Had to find a way, and bit of luck on my side tonight. Too hard to hit down the ground, those boys had it on a string there. Sweeping was the method which I found to work for me. Got to play every situation.”

Talking about his shoulder and body, Lynn said: “Whatever the team needs, I’ll do the job. Body is getting there. Support staff have been very good. Schedule’s tight, but I’m keeping the body intact.”
