Delhi Daredevils (DD) suffered yet another loss in Match 22 of VIVO IPL 2018 against upbeat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at their den on Monday. DD came agonisingly close to breaking their run of reverses, only to lose by four runs to KXIP. DD had their share of highlights in form of Liam Plunkett who made an instant impression on his IPL debut claiming 3 wickets for 17 in his quota of 4 overs. DD required 17 in the final over while chasing target of 144.
Shreyas Iyer did try to ease off the pressure smashing a six and four off Mujeeb Zadran. With 5 required of the final delivery, Iyer mistimed a flat delivery from Zadran and was caught by Aaron Finch to hand KXIP yet another win. Iyer (57) and Rahul Tewatia (24) stood out for their performance from DD.
