Kuldeep Yadav has been one of India’s rising stars over the past year. After a successful Test debut at Dharamsala last year, Kuldeep went on establish himself as the mainstay of the ODI side. The Chinaman bowler has not been at his best in the ongoing VIVO IPL 2018, but has still managed 8 wickets from 9 games at 28.37 and went at 8 an over. Kuldeep revealed who does he find bowling more difficult — Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle.

Gayle, undoubtedly, has been the greatest T20 batsman ever and Virat Kohli is currently the finest limited-overs batsman. For year, the duo has been a reason for nightmare for bowlers, especially when they played together for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Both, Gayle and Kohli, have put up some superlative shows in the current IPL edition.

According to Kuldeep, he finds bowling to his Indian captain more difficult than to the Jamaican giant.

“It really does not affect me who is batting against me but someone like Virat is a lot more difficult to bowl at as he will not let you bowl dot balls and besides hitting you for a four or six, will take twos and threes too. This creates pressure on the bowler,” Kuldeep was quoted as saying by India Today.

Speaking on Gayle’s prowess, the 23-year-old added, “No doubt Chris Gayle is an impact player and dominates every bowler. He can hit you for a six or maybe a four but can’t take singles and doubles. So there is always the option of bowling a dot ball to him and also taking a wicket.”

Kuldeep registered figures of 4-0-34-1 in Kolkata’s win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday. Kuldeep had almost got the wicket of MS Dhoni off his final ball when Shubhman Gill dropped a sitter at the deep midwicket and the ball managed to sail over the ropes for a six.

KKR, third in the IPL 2018 Points Table, will square up against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday.
