And KKR beat KXIP by 31 runs. It was a difficult chase, almost impossible, and once the top order was back, there was little chance. Only Rahul put up a fight.

OUT! Finch goes now, it’s as good as over now. He tries to give it a meaty blow but doesn’t quite get it, and finds Kuldeep inside the circle. Kuldeep lunges for it low and takes a good catch.

Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders Updates: Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the VIVO IPL 2018. We head to Match 44 where Punjab host Knight Riders at Holkar Stadium, Indore. KXIP are on the brink of qualification to the playoffs, whereas KKR have slipped down quite dramatically. As of now, KXIP are ranked third, with 12 points. KKR are languishing at the fifth spot (10 points).

KKR have won 14 out of 22 T20 played against KXIP. This is the first clash between both sides at Indore. KKR’s away record against KXIP is better; 7 wins and 5 loses. Good news from the KKR camp is that Shubman Gill is expected to back in the playing XI, after he was out in last couple of games. KKR having had a decent start to their campaign have stumbled badly.

KXIP suffered a narrow loss in their last match, which places them in a precarious position in the table. Another loss here and they too will be under the pump. Their middle-order batting still remains a concern.
