Indian cricket was touching new pinnacles during mid 2000s. The men’s team were going through a purple patch, before the 2007 World Cup, under Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. They were many youngsters delivering the goods in crunch situations. Two of them were Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni. The duo, not to forget Mohammed Kaif, scripted many famous wins for Team India under pressure situations; especially while chasing. Such has been their camaraderie that lots have been spoken about their ‘bond’ (including few alleged controversies) in the recent past. In the ongoing VIVO IPL 2018, when Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Chennai Super Kings  (CSK) met at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, the pair came up against each other once again.

In pursuit of 198, CSK were in trouble. Dhoni came in at No. 5, and looked in good touch. However, ahead of the 13th over, Dhoni received some treatment for his lower back. He got a bit of a massage, and Yuvraj joined in for a blink-and-a-miss moment.

Surely, there is enough bromance between the duo!

Yuvraj was seen affectionately squeezing Dhoni’s head while the latter was treated by the team physio. One thing is for sure: the crowd would have surely given a big roar seeing the veteran’s bonding. Their partnerships have been cherished and revisited through YouTube, and this small moment is another addition in their template.

About the match

IPL 2018 saw another cliff hanger in KXIP’s home clash versus CSK. Chasing 198, Dhoni and co. required 85 off 36 balls. Dhoni shifted gears swiftly, and took the team on the verge of another close win before his back injury prevented the big shots in the last over; resulting in CSK’s first defeat of the ongoing tournament.

Wait, it’s not over…

Yuvraj and Dhoni’s better halfs were also present at Mohali on Sunday. They also shared a click together, followed by a sweet post from Yuvi’s partner, Hazel Keech. The picture also includes social media’s favourite child and Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva.
