THAT’s OVER! Too good bowling from Ben Laughlin and Unadkat. They combine to stop DD at 60 for 4. Is this another edition wherein DD would languish at the bottom? God hasn’t been kind to them tonight.

RR win by 10 runs (DLS method). Goodnight guys!
  • 12:21 AM IST

A rusty innings from Maxwell comes to an end. He went hard on a slower ball, smartly executed by Laughlin who cut his fingers over the delivery, and managed only a thick edge.

DD require 37 off 12 balls. A BIG BIG OVER is the need of hour for them.
  • 12:14 AM IST

Few desperate hits and a big connect spoils Unadkat’s over. I’m sure he will get another one though.

Maxwell keeps DD in the hunt — they need 42 off 18.
  • 12:11 AM IST

Three dots. Maxwell should not being able to connect. On the other hand, top bowling this from Unadkat.

  • 12:04 AM IST

The situation is such that all the net practice would help. Batsmen will go after the bowler irrespective of the length. Rishabh Pant took his chances are mounted 10 off the first over, despite DD losing Munro.

  • 11:58 PM IST

OUT! A horrible mix-up and Colin Munro departs without facing a ball. DD are surely irked with the loss in momentum, and maybe these are early signs.

  • 11:57 PM IST

DD openers are: Colin Munro and Glenn Maxwell. LET THE FUN BEGIN.

  • 11:57 PM IST

Interesting choice! Rajasthan start with Karnataka’s all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham.

  • 11:56 PM IST

Rajasthan’s top three bowlers can bowl 2 overs each.

Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Daredevils latest updates: Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of VIVO IPL 2018. We move to the Match 6 of the tournament as action returns to Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur after five years. Hosts RR will take on DD, and we will be providing you with the full updates, interesting tweets from the cyberspace and much more.

Both the sides suffered a loss in their previous games. While RR suffered an embarrassing 9-wicket defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), DD were consumed by KL Rahul’s whirlwind at Kings XI Punjab (KXIP)’s den at Mohali. These are still early stages in the tournament but teams will look forward to open their account.

For the Royals, it’s an emotional moment, returning home after five years. To their advantage, they have a 73 per cent win record at this venue, making it their fortress. Head-to-head, Delhi have only won one match at Jaipur, having played four against Rajasthan here. RR hold the edge in overall IPL, having won 10 out of their 16 encounters against DD.

To DD’s credit, they have Gautam Gambhir at helm and their side wears a more balanced look. Meanwhile, RR, who have as many as four opening options in their top four, are showing signs of missing Steven Smith. These are still early days in the tournament to make a judgment, and let us hope for an absolute cracker.
