Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crawled to 127 for 9 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after being put to bat. Parthiv Patel gave RCB a good start but could not take his team to a good total. Unfortunately, a mid-innings collapse reduced them to 89 for 8 before Tim Southee scored a quick 36. Ravindra Jadeja was the star bowler for CSK. He had figures 4-0-18-3. He got the main wickets of Parthiv, Virat Kohli and Mandeep Singh. What was interesting about the wickets was Jadeja’s lack of celebration of Kohli’s wicket, that too off his ball, which left Twitter users confused.

Jadeja has not been in the blue jersey for a long time. Some pointed that out a reason for the silent celebration, a one-uppance of sort on Kohli. However, Jadeja has a different justification for the same: ”It was my first ball and I was not ready to celebrate. Virat’s wicket is always a huge wicket, I was thinking I got a good wicket.”

Jadeja also lauded Harbhajan Singh (4-0-22-2, including the wicket of AB de Villiers): ”Bhajji, from the other end, was also bowling very well, he took the important wicket of ABD. We bowled as a pair and that is required as a bowling unit. We have a very good batting line-up so we should not worry about the total much.We need to bat the 20 overs and we will get the desired result.”
