Match 31 of VIVO IPL 2018 saw Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finally getting the better of Mumbai Indians (MI) after 3 long years. RCB secured much needed 2 points at M Chinnaswamy Stadium as they notched up their third win of the season. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians succumbed to their sixth loss this season.

MI’s chances to advance to playoffs look bleak post their 15-run defeat against RCB. Mumbai elected to field and restricted RCB to a gettable 167 for 7. Manan Vohra’s 45 gave RCB the early impetus and the innings got its due end courtesy Colin de Grandhomme’s blitz. RCB missed AB de Villiers’ service but their bowlers stood up.
